WHY FORM UPLOADS FAIL

One image can have three different “sizes.”

Online forms may check the file type, the pixel box, and the storage size separately. A photo that looks right can still be rejected for being a PNG, 10 pixels too wide, or a few kilobytes over the limit.

A few useful details

Does FormFit upload or store my images?

No. The app uses the browser File and Canvas APIs. Images are decoded, transformed, and encoded in your tab. There is no upload endpoint, analytics script, or account.

Can it make a file exactly a certain KB?

It aims for your maximum and shows the exact byte count. Compression is not magic: a minimum plus maximum can be impossible for a particular image and format, so FormFit reports that honestly instead of padding a file with meaningless data.

Should I choose “fit inside” or “crop to fill”?

Choose crop to fill when the portal demands exact width and height and the image should fill the box. Choose fit inside when keeping the whole image matters more; any extra space uses your selected background.
